Before launching IPQ in 2007, Bill Paulson served for over two decades as the primary author of “The Gold Sheet.” During his career, Bill’s reporting and analysis has supported the global regulatory dialogue on advancing and harmonizing CMC and GMP processes for drugs and biologics to keep pace with the evolving technology. When he gets a chance, Bill enjoys writing poetry – look out for the IPQ Poet’s Corner coming soon! |

Publications Editor Charles studied engineering and mathematics at the College of DuPage in Illinois. He worked as a laboratory and research technician in water purification in government and the private sector. He studied art and graphic design at Kent State University in Ohio, and acquired a Bachelor’s of Art in Sculpture from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Since joining in 2015, Charles has presided over IPQ’s digital content and print software applications. |

Outreach & Operations Director Following a BSc in Biotechnology and PhD in Biochemistry, Jonathan joined the pharmaceutical industry as a protein scientist before starting his career in Regulatory Affairs. Years later, Jonathan founded his own regulatory affairs consultancy that was acquired by a global CRO in 2017. He then devoted considerable time to his voluntary work with TOPRA, where he served as TOPRA’s President. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys cycling and stand-up paddle boarding. |

Managing Editor Before joining IPQ in 2017, Nathan’s previous experience in regulated environments had been in the US electoral and tax systems. In addition to covering and reporting on the wide spectrum of meetings that is IPQ’s beat, Nathan is responsible for IPQ’s warning letter and noncompliance report reviews. |

Editorial Staff–US Mark primarily reports on the work of pharmacopoeias around the world, an area which clearly intersects the bio/pharmaceutical CMC/regulatory and quality functions. Half of his 30+ years in industry was focused on pharmacopoeias, developing a global viewpoint and keen interest in harmonization, including participation in ICH Q4B. Following his retirement, Mark joined IPQ in 2018. |

Editorial Staff–Europe After 18 years as an MHRA quality assessor at MHRA, Janine joined IPQ in 2016, at the same time as relocating to Sweden. Janine’s main focus is on the interface between drug and device regulation and she enjoys sharing the valuable regulatory intelligence from the conferences arranged by membership-based organizations – with the ultimate aim of helping towards regulatory strengthening and convergence. She also enjoys visiting the beautiful cities and art galleries where the conferences are held and looks forward to being able to do so again soon! |

Editorial Staff–Europe Following a BSc in Pharmacy from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, Anya received her PhD in Pharmaceutics (Nanoparticulate Drug & Vaccine Delivery) from the School of Pharmacy, University College London, UK. Following post-doctoral studies at UCL, she lectured in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Brighton, UK and then moved to Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus, Spain, where she lectures in the division of Health Sciences. She joined IPQ in 2019. She loves travelling, talking, meeting new people and writing – so actually IPQ is her perfect job! |

Editorial Staff–Europe Jennifer Bell holds a PhD in molecular microbiology and an MSc in pharmaceutical manufacturing technology. Jen worked in quality management roles in medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and clinical trial sectors from 2010 to 2018. She prioritised her writing and consulting company in 2018, joined IPQ in 2020 and hasn’t looked back. |

IT & Support Staff Miranda Seacrist studied design and received an Associates of Arts from Lakeland Community College. Miranda is an IT / support staff member at IPQ, where Miranda works on web design, editing, and publishing. Miranda helps to troubleshoot software issues to ensure all systems are operational for clients and employees. |
