At the 19th International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities (ICDRA), held in New Delhi, India in October 2024, FDA Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs Kimberlee Trzeciak discussed the strong engagement of FDA with WHO and its initiatives and how risk mitigation and global regulatory partnerships and harmonization are key elements in maintaining a strong regulatory foundation for medicinal product quality and access.
