EMA recently published their 2015 annual report, revealing statistics on human and veterinary medicines, inspections and com- pliance, communication, and administrative actions. Regarding inspections, the report revealed that over 567 inspections were conducted in 2015 β a 35% increase from the previous year. EMA explained that the increased number is largely due to βthe grow- ing number of centrally authorized products, and due to peak activity in the first quarter related to inspections requested in 2014.β
