European Parliament’s Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) published a recording of their December 7 meeting. In the annual exchange of views, EMA Executive Director Guido Rasi begins, “The relocation of the EMA, and the preparation of the regulatory network for the departure of UK from the EU put a tremendous strain on our business.” Despite an increasing workload, and cuts in personnel, Rasi adds that “already 40 staff are working exclusively on Brexit and are therefore not available to do their normal tasks.”
