Following the November 2018 meeting convened by FDA and the Duke Margolis Center for Health Policy on drug shortages and identifying root causes, 268 comments were received on the public docket. These included feedback and policy ideas by the American Hospitals Association (AHA) [1], the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) [2], the Healthcare Supply Chain Association (HSCA) [3], Physicians Against Drug Shortages (PADS) [4], and the healthcare management company Premier [5]. Shortages of sterile solutions including sterile water continue to be reported on the FDA drug shortages website.
