FDA Commissioner Gottlieb announced closer collaboration with states to help ensure access to quality compounded drugs. A revised draft memorandum of understanding (MOU) addresses traditional compounders that distribute “inordinate amounts” of their compounded drugs interstate. Among other changes, the MOU “would change what is considered ‘inordinate amounts’ from a 30% to a 50% threshold.”
