The Australia’s Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) has published guidance outlining certain types of variations to registered medicines that have been determined to pose a low risk and would not affect the established quality, safety and efficacy of the medicine. After making an application to the TGA requesting the variation and receiving an automated acknowledgment of acceptance of the submission, sponsors can implement the changes immediately.
